Born in Holland in 1944, Bert Nienhuis studied during
the sixties at the famous Academy '63 in the Netherlands
to become a painter. After this study he started to work as a professional
painter and photographer. In 1970 he became involved in designing and
producing educational toys. This job brought him to almost
all corners of the world.
In 1996 Bert settled in the Ardèche in the South of France
and he became the full-time impressionist landscape
painter he always wanted to be. Just recently he moved to Curaçao, one of the
Dutch Antilles to find new inspiration and different light and colors.
He also gives workshops and painting stages in his studio.
His oil paintings and water colours have found their
way to many private collections and have been shown
in numerous public and private galleries in many countries. |
